Implementation of Improvement Initiatives in Insurance Services

A local insurance company contacted us to help them implement Lean and Six Sigma in a division that managed Healthcare and Property Insurance operations. We created special Yellow belt and Greenbelt programs based on healthcare and insurance requirements, customizing our program to match their particular needs and issues. Over 20 professionals were trained; initiating over 12 improvement projects, while we provided coaching and mentoring from start to finish.

All projects were completed and substantial saving over 20% realized. We continued for a couple of years and purchased our customized training material to start to provide their own training program. After a Train-the-Trainer program, they continue to train their own staff upon employment, supporting the teams with fresh ideas from their own employees. They now have their own Master Black belt to continue their strategy of ongoing improvement. We enjoy helping companies get started in creating a strategy, provide them with implementation and coaching to get the program implemented, and enable them to maintain and support their own programs long after we’re gone. That’s the best kind of success for QPS.
