Implementing Automotive Management System ISO/TS 16949
A US automotive company in Connecticut asked us to implement the Automotive QMS, ISO/TS 16949 requirements in three facilities; CT, FL & NC, based on a QS 9000 system that was ineffective. The old system had to be rebuilt, and an entirely new system based on the TS standard was created. All five locations required assessment, and new documentation was created based on current processes in order to ensure they could meet the new requirements.
The system was redesigned to incorporate all five locations; with all facets of implementation, training and auditing led by QPS. All facilities were prepared for formal registration and passed with minor issues. The transformation took 18 months and covered over 18,000 employees, all trained and enabled to support the entire system, with plant reviews rolling up to a corporate management review.
